Cookie Policy

Cookie Policy

Last updated: 5 August 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how QPlay GmbH ("QPlay", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on https://www.qplayy.com/ (the "Store").

It is provided in accordance with the EU ePrivacy Directive (Directive 2002/58/EC), the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679), and their national implementations - including the German Telecommunications-Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG), the Dutch Telecommunicatiewet, the French Loi Informatique et Libertes, the Belgian Act of 13 June 2005, and equivalent laws in the other countries we serve.

This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data more generally.

1. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the Store to function correctly, remember your choices, keep your basket intact between pages, and help us understand how the Store is used.

We also use technologies that work in a similar way, and which this policy covers on the same basis:

  • Local storage and session storage - data saved in your browser rather than in a cookie file, used for things like remembering your language or your basket

  • Pixels and tags - small pieces of code that record that a page was loaded

  • Software development kits (SDKs) - used inside apps rather than browsers

Wherever this policy says "cookies", it means all of the above.

2. Your Choices and Consent

When you first visit the Store you are shown a cookie banner. You can accept non-essential cookies, reject them, or choose which categories to allow.

Strictly necessary cookies are set without consent, because the Store cannot work without them and the law does not require consent for them. Everything else is set only after you have agreed.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time. Use the cookie settings link in the Store footer. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and it does not affect the lawfulness of processing that already took place.

Rejecting non-essential cookies does not prevent you from browsing or buying. Some conveniences, such as remembering your preferences between visits, may not work.

We do not currently run advertising pixels, social media trackers, or third-party analytics beyond Shopify's built-in reporting. If that changes, this table and our Privacy Policy will name the provider before the cookie is set.

6. Managing Cookies in Your Browser

Independently of our cookie banner, you can block or delete cookies in your browser. Deleting cookies will also delete your saved cookie preference, so you will be asked again on your next visit.

Most browsers also offer a private or incognito window, which discards cookies when you close it.

7. Opting Out of Interest-Based Advertising

Even though we do not currently use advertising cookies, you can opt out of interest-based advertising across many companies at once:

Global Privacy Control (GPC). Some browsers and extensions send an automated signal asking websites not to sell or share personal data. Where we are legally required to honour such a signal, we do. More information: https://globalprivacycontrol.org/

8. Do Cookies Identify You

Most cookies on the Store contain a random identifier rather than your name. Combined with other information, cookie data can still count as personal data under the GDPR, so we treat it as such.

How we handle personal data, how long we keep it, and what rights you have - including access, erasure, and objection - are set out in our Privacy Policy.

9. Complaints

If you believe we have handled cookies or your personal data incorrectly, please contact us first at info@qplayy.com so we can put it right.

You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. Our lead authority is:

Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen (LDI NRW) Kavalleriestraße 2-4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany https://www.ldi.nrw.de

You may instead contact the authority in your own country of residence. The full list is in Section 13 of our Privacy Policy, and the European Data Protection Board maintains an index of all national authorities at https://www.edpb.europa.eu/about-edpb/about-edpb/members_en.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when our technology, our providers, or the law changes. The "Last updated" date above shows the most recent revision. Where a change requires your consent, we will ask for it before the change takes effect.
